The Rio offers its clientele a welcoming ambiance designed to inspire the ultimate in luxurious dining. Welcoming you at the door is a smiling host who will escort you to your table and ensure you are comfortably seated, before leaving you with the exciting menu to peruse as you take in the surroundings. Whether a cozy table for two or a large group seating, there is the perfect setting to intimately accommodate everyone. In the stead of one open dining area, the restaurant offers one large-style dining room (perfect for large groups), another L shaped section for smaller groups or couples and a cozy, intimate alcove with seating for 6-8 people. A hint of the southwest flavors the decor that is complemented by soft music and lighting further adding to the delight of dining at the Rio Restaurant. And that’s not all. The menu has undergone some delicious changes as well. Added to the tantalizing appetizers are some exquisitely- breaded mushrooms, escargot, calamari that can only be described as absolutely mouth watering and a definite starter for all our future meals. The potato skins are also unbelievable. A simple solution of course is to bring along a healthy appetite and try them both as you sip a glass of wine or an aperitif, or even beer on tap while deciding upon your main course. Another new and tasty addition, this time to the main meal, is a slow-cooked (to perfection) Beef- Brisket sandwich, Shrimp Papillion, Confit de Canard, Chicken Supreme in Rio style with all the trimmings. What promised to be a real treat, the Best Bar-B-Q Ribs in the Laurentian`s. However, whatever your final choice, you can be sure your meal will be delicious, gastronomically fulfilling and served amply. A little tip for all new-comers to the restaurant; I urge you to dine slowly and after a slight repose, complete your meal with a house specialty desserts guaranteed to satisfy the sweetest tooth in us all, is the perfect conclusion to your dining experience.     First time eating at the Le Rio Restaurant and we were presently surprised with the at home ambiance and delicious food. We started with the House salad that had a most delicious dressing and then an order of Baby Back Ribs that were fall off the bone and really tasty prepared with their special sauce. We also had a Shrimp dish that was lightly breaded with garlic butter and that was great as well. The people are most friendly and make you feel welcome from the get go. We will definietly add this restaurant to our favorites and introduce it to our friends as well.
